Real Peace

Today, many people are looking for PEACE. It is difficult to imagine anyone in the world who is not seeking PEACE in one form or another. However, REAL PEACE lies hidden in the world, and we must find out where it is. Nevertheless, there are some people who have discovered the meaning of REAL PEACE and are now leading happy lives.

My dear friend, are you looking for PEACE? If you are, then you must have an understanding of REAL PEACE. Please take a few moments to read this.

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. He created everything beautifully. There was order, unity, and PEACE. If you can think about the Garden of Eden, you can understand the beauty of man’s intended way of life. How happy the first couple was in that Garden! However, man disrupted the order of God’s creation, and thus lost the PEACE. He had sinned against God, and for this reason, he was driven from the Garden. All the other living creatures, who had been man’s friends, now became his enemies. His unique relationship with God was destroyed. The justice of God came upon him. From then onwards, man had to work, in order to survive.

However, our God is merciful as well as just. Even from the very moment of man’s original sin, God’s plan was to reunite mankind with Him (God), and to give him (man) the everlasting PEACE. How then was God going to bring this about? He would send the Redeemer, who is the Prince of Peace. Even before the birth of Jesus, there was a prophecy that he would be the Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6). When Jesus was born, "Suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host, praising God and saying, Glory to God in the Highest, and on earth, PEACE, goodwill toward men" (Luke 2:13,14). When Jesus started His ministry, He preached about PEACE (Acts 10:36). He also displayed it throughout His life. He comforted His disciples by saying, "PEACE I leave with you, My PEACE I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid" (John 14:27). "In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world" (John 16:33).

In order to reunite mankind with God, Jesus shed his precious blood. The Bible says, "For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation, having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace, and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity. And He came and preached peace to you who were afar off and to those who were near" (Eph. 2:14-17). It was the will of God to reunite man with Himself through Jesus Christ. The Bible says, "For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross" (Col. 1:19-20). From these verses, you can understand that it was the plan of God to reunite man through Jesus Christ. As many as believed in Jesus Christ and have received him as their Savior and Lord have experienced the real PEACE in their lives.

Once, I too was worried, hopeless, and restless because of my sinful life. However, when I confessed all my sins and received Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace, as my personal Savior, He forgave all my sins, and filled me with His everlasting PEACE. If you could study the life of a true Christian, you would understand that he is leading a peaceful life. In the same manner, you would notice that the true Christian dies in PEACE, and not with a troubled mind. The person who is not a true Christian, however, dies with a troubled mind. The Bible says, "But the wicked are like the troubled sea, when it cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt. There is no peace, says my God, for the wicked" (Isaiah 57:20,21).

There have been many great people who have searched for PEACE without Jesus Christ, and were unable to find it. Even today, many people try to establish PEACE in the world. Without Christ, however, PEACE is impossible. We learned that PEACE was disrupted because of sin. When we confess our sins and invite Jesus Christ into our hearts, then only can we have REAL PEACE. There is no other way for us to obtain PEACE. The Bible says, "…the blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from all sin… If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (I John 1:7,9). God "forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases… who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s" (Psalms 103:3,5). "…I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more" (Jeremiah 31:34).

In Christ, there is no distinction with regards to nationality, color, or language. All are one in Christ. All live as one family, in harmony with each other. If everyone could come to this experience, I am sure that there would be no quarrels, disputes, or war.

My dear friend, let me tell you one more thing - Jesus Christ is coming soon to establish His PEACEFUL KINGDOM on this earth for 1000 years. After that, there will be an eternal Peaceful Kingdom in Heaven. Whoever believes in Him and walks according to His will shall partake in His kingdom. There will be no sorrow, thirst, hunger, or death. Instead, there will be unspeakable joy and everlasting PEACE with God. Whoever goes after the happiness and PEACE of this world will never find the Real Peace. The Bible says, "But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death" (Rev. 21:8).

So dear friend, I pray that God may bless you with perfect health, unspeakable joy, and a Real Peace of mind in this world, as well as in eternity. If you would like to invite Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace, into your heart, please pray like this: "Dear God, I confess all my sins. Please forgive me and wash me with the precious blood of Jesus Christ. I receive Jesus Christ as my personal Savior and Lord. Please fill me with your everlasting PEACE. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen."
